Just Steps. for Apple Watch · Effective 5 September 2026

Just Steps. does not collect your data. Nothing you do in the app is sent to me, to a server, or to anyone else. There is no account to create, no analytics, and no advertising.

What the app reads

Just Steps. reads one thing from Apple Health: your step count. It reads today's total to show your progress, and daily totals from earlier days to build the charts and averages on the analytics page.

The app asks your permission before reading anything, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in the Health app on your iPhone. The app never writes to Health and never asks for permission to do so.

What is stored, and where

A small amount of information is saved on your Apple Watch so the app and its complications work without recalculating everything each time:

• your daily step goal, and the dates on which you changed it
• today's step count, so a complication can draw instantly
• whether you have already been congratulated today
• your two notification switches

All of it lives in the app's own storage on the device. None of it is transmitted anywhere. Your step history itself is not copied out of Health: the app queries Health each time you open the analytics page.

What the app does not do

• It contains no networking code whatsoever and makes no internet connections.
• It contains no analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs.
• It does not sell, share, or disclose your information to anyone.
• It does not use health data for advertising, marketing, or data mining.
• It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no user profiles.

Notifications

The goal notification and the evening reminder are scheduled locally on your watch by the app itself. They are not push notifications, no server is involved, and nothing about them leaves the device.

Keeping and deleting your data

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for me to keep, and no data of yours for me to delete on request. Deleting Just Steps. from your Apple Watch removes everything the app stored. Your step data belongs to Apple Health and stays there, untouched, whether or not the app is installed.

Children

Just Steps. is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
